Communication of two plc s7-1200, 5 km away from each other and a remote Scada system.

The client asked me for a system, made up like this: Main station 1 plc s7-1200, reading the values and sending the level value of a tank to the pumping station. Pumping station with 1 plc s7-1200 5 km from the main station. The pumping station receives the level value from the central station and activates or deactivates the pumps to fill the tank in the main station. Scada remote system (wincc v15) which receives data from both remote stations (or from only one station) and sends the various commands necessary to both stations. And the main question is: how to make the 3 components talk. I can't use physical connections between the various stations. And I didn't want to use TCSB for the simple fact that if the TCSB server doesn't work, the two plc have to communicate with each other and continue the process. Thank you all for the answers

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (34)	Why not use a VPN server client setup? One plc becomes the server VPN connected to the Ethernet/Profinet Port and the other one uses the VPN Client which connects the same way to the plc. Siemens Scalance or other manufactures have such standalone VPN Server Client boxes which only need to be connected via Internet or local lan. On the other hand maybe if variables are not to often changed maybe a box which connects via mobile internet only when changes are triggering the data transfers may be a option, too.
