When to use amplifier? Have to use amplifier always?

The A/D converter of an analog input of the LOGO! converts every analog signal (no matter if 0-10V, 0/4-20mA or PT100/1000) in general into 0-1000 units. You then need the analog amplifier to set the physical measuring range of your sensor. You can then display 0-6000 (in your example) as 0-6000 mbar without a decimal place. Or as 0.000-6.000 bar with 3 decimal places.
