CPU410 newest firmware in PCS7 V8.1

DayMark Experienced Member Joined: 2/29/2016 Last visit: 10/31/2024 Posts: 101 Rating: (1)	Hello, I have a new CPU410 (Firmware V8.2.1) and I want to replace the defective CPU410 with firmware V8.1 in PCS7 V8.1 project. However, do I need to change the hardware configuration in step 7? Since I cannot select firmware V8.2.1, only the released firmware V8.1. I have checked for HUP's, but can only find them for PCS7 V8.0. Can I just use firmware V8.1 in hardware configuration with actual firmware V8.2.1? Or do I need to downgrade the firmware

Oreca Platinum Expert Joined: 3/14/2008 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 2125 Rating: (951)	Hi, General information about updating the hardware catalog: You can update the hardware catalog by two options: Via internet Via downloaded installation file You can reach the update of the catalog by going to hardware configuration and selecting Options->Install HW Updates. You can then selection one of two options. If you don't have access to the internet, you can download the latest updates from the following link and install them manually by selecting the second option: Link The CPU410 in this case is only released for PCS7. For this reason, updates are provided via HUP's released for PCS7 which can be reached through the following link: Link At this point, a HUP for the 410 is only released for PCS7 V8.0 SP1. You will need to use the provided firmware V8.1 in your hardware configuration.
