We have PCS7 V8.0 and 8.1 installed last 2015, recently our boss would like to install an Anti Virus for the these system. However, when we tried an ES installing a symantic endpoint simatic manager did not open. Any suggestions and/or clariffications if what to be done? or any AV suggestions?

Dear Mark, 

SEPM is just a manager without Client. If you install SEPM without Client, it should not affect your system. 

Please make sure you configure the SEPM policy properly before you deploy your client. 

Refer to SEP PCS 7 this manual for configuration. 

Ensure the Firewall for SEPM is not recommended. PCS 7 security controller cannot control SEPM for configuration. Only Windows Firewall is released for PCS 7. You must disable your Firewall Policy in SEPM inorder for the SEP Client to work properly. 

And make sure required ports for SEPM is configured in all the clients. Read the SEP administration guide for detail configurations of TCP and UDP Ports.
