Considering the fact that AFS is discontinued and there won't be a "Coupler Redundancy" option available anymore, still sometimes, like in my case due to existing cabling, we may need a "redundant interface + single trunk cable" solution. So I'm wondering if Ring Topology is accepted, then why two chained FF Couplers cant be accepted.

To explain the proposed topology I've drawn a diagram which is attached. T-Junction in my sketch can be a regular H1 junction box.

Please keep in mind that I'm not saying it works. I'm asking whether it works or not and if not, then why?!

I have the same doubt. I think you should consult tech support. To achieve what you want in the technical documentation an AFS is always used but the AFS is in the cancellation phase.

It would be very good if your proposal were valid because this way the existing wiring could be used and the migrations of plants to PCS7 would be more attractive.
