This is an ancient thread. How can I get up-to-date information on commissioning a G120X drive into the TIA Portal?

I downloaded the GSDML file from The SINAMICS G120X PROFINET GSDML files and PROFIBUS GSD files - ID: 109763250 - Industry Support Siemens 

In TIA Portal I do "Options/Manage GSD files" and browse to where the file was downloaded and extracted. I get "No items match your search". But Windows explorer shows "GSDML-V2.34-Siemens-Sinamics_G120X-20190426.xml" is present.

So how do I load the GSDML file into TIA Portal V17?
This is on Windows Server 2022 Standard 21H2 (very similar to Windows 10).
I have a G120X (with an IOP-2), its controller is powered up and connected via 100BaseT to my computer; standard network tools show no ARP from the drive. PROFINET is a mystery.....

You need to select the complete unzipped folder to insert the GSD-Files to TIA.
