Today is the end of the year 2022, and.. *LOGO does not have an expansion module, such as a PWM module, to connect to any modern small motor control module. *LOGO cannot carry the calculating program, read the inputs signals and ensure response accuracy in output, that too in a relatively slow context. *With a larger program (over 150 block), LOGO is capable of going madness, where inputs cannot be read anymore correctly or confusing orders are given to the outputs as well, which can cause a very dangerous situation. It means that, there is something to develop in reality. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

First of all, thanks from reacting. First, what is the need for this little controller? For these home solutions/ smart house projects, web cloud solutions etc. actually already exist hundreds of different ones and small "programmable industrial controller" as is in no way its primar target.. or? What do I really use it for... Circular saws, presses, winding machines, automatic drills, casting machine robots, safety lights, sewing machines, lifting equipment, etc. These are machines, that work every day, not toys or learning tools and there is no place for internet cloud service nor to other bling-bling solutions. And, of course, the controller must read data from somewhere (sensors, encoders, rulers) and it must to command something (solenoid drives, motor control drives, relays). And in recent times, even the simplest solution is becoming problematic, because today's small motor technology often does not have this control option 0-5V or 0-10V anymore; primary is PWM, then there may be 2 or more canal EncStep simulator or other data. If we now add that the transistor output does not always respond on time and the possibility, that the thing will go stupid, then a difficult situation has arisen; that device simply cannot be used. It's that simple. So why use it and not, for example, the S7-1200. On the LOGO 8.0 + HMI, one "smart machine" project took 3 weeks to program and test and the same project has also been done for S7 and it took more than 3 months for another team. All the makers were at the professional level and the end result was the same. This is an eloquent argument. An example of a problematic one: U002 goes crazy if the program is stopped / if the machine is not started from the 0 position (arbitrary numbers dance on the HMI screen, the motor drive swings completely randomly; the machine never comes out of the madness on its own).
