I have downloaded the Micro win  V4.0 SP8 and SP9 and it is working fine.

However if I want to make use of the help file it is not available. Can anyone please let me know how to get the help file for this version download or activated

Not to worry... it is a problem that has a solution.
Have a look at the FAQ:

If you load the recommended file from Microsoft,
the problem will be resolved.

The suggestion made by Siemens in the FAQ is a file you could get from Microsoft. Microsoft unfortunately does not offer this file anymore. Getting this installation elsewhere is possible but risky.

This leaves you with the options:
1) Talk directly with Siemens using the "Support Request" link.
2) Install and use the Step7 Microwin software under Windows XP (by VM).
3) Use the very comprehensive S7-200 System Manual instead.

Only our fellow member knows what he meant. But we can safely assume he is having the same problem as the original topic starter. The original solution is not available anymore -- this I knew from going through the same problem.

Have a restful evening.

We're on a technical forum, not on Facebook or anything like that.

Therefore, the user should be able to correctly state which link does not work.

If he needs a Winhlp32.exe for Win 7...
I have this file.

For Windows 8 or 8.1 is a download from Microsoft on their web site possible.
