ranr_mids Bronze Member Joined: 12/5/2005 Last visit: 8/9/2021 Posts: 289 Rating: (19)	Greetings. I am struggling with a 'C' script to trigger 'Pop-Up' screens (posted in it's entirety below). I'm using individual bits in Tag "stat_win" to control which of three seperate pop-ups is triggered, and then using other words to control what is displayed. The script as posted works fine, unless you try to 'break' it by opening a fourth window. I've tried to put a warning popup trigger at the end to catch this, but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

It works as intended for a while, then seems to 'crash' all scripts (a process called 'script.exe' in Windows Task Manager freezes, and needs either manually stopping or a restart ofthe PC) The script seems OK, and passes the syntax checks. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Maybe You use Hyperthreading ? detail infos You find with the link http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hwdev/platform/proc/HT-Windows.mspx http://www.intel.com/support/platform/ht/os.htm But, if You don`t fond the solution, don`t hesitate, to contact the Siemens customer support. The script looks fine but then again my C knowledge isn't very hot ! Can you put some break-points in to see if it's failing at the same point? Regards, Salma

I've even completely removed the script I've posted here to check if it is my code - the scripts still crash / freeze / malfunction, it just takes a bit longer. I am wondering if I am suffering from some sort of overloading problem - almost everything on this project has to be handled by script due to it's complexity. Is there some sort of command I need to use, to 'free up' resources allocated to run scripts once they have finished?

Looking at your other post it looks like you are already trying this. Can you let us know how you are getting on with this problem. Is the crashing / errors still occurring ? Regards, Salma

I'm wading through my scripts, modifying asI go, using 'sprintf'. So far (touch wood) I haven't managed to crash the script engine again. I get to take alittle less stress home for xmas [:D]
