I can't find the gsd file for these two product. Can someone kindly give me the links?

Hi Carmin91,

how do you want to connect the Reader to a PLC or PC? If you use TIA Portal and a S7-PLC you don't need GSD files. You only have to configure the communication module which are in the TIA library.

 PLC - Reader is the connection. I never use RFID until now. Where i find the communication block ?

Edit: in Tia Hw catalog i've see RF120C.

If you have a S7-12xx then you should use the RF120C.

Please let us know the exact type of your PLC, the reader and the TIA version you use. Afterwards we can tell you the best communication module for the job and guide you with some examples on how to create a program for the reader.

I've check now, I have here a RF380R instead the RF310R.

Ok,

so for a S7-1500 and a RF380R I'd suggest to use the PROFINET communication module RF180C (see attached screenshot) since you just can't connect the reader directly to the PLC. You will only have to configure the PLC and communication module in TIA Portal. Just plug reader into the module.

To control the reader I suggest to use the "Ident blocks". Here's an example on how to use the blocks:

 I've check with the colleagues the plc model and is a 1215C DC/DC/DC (6ES7 215-1AG40-0XB0)

And with the plc i have a RF380R (6GT2801-3AB10) and (but im not sure at this point) a RF340T.

The transponder doesn't matter. Which ever RF3xxT it is, it'll work.

 And where i can find the RF120C gsd ? Or I don't need it ?
