Hi all!

I'd be very grateful if someone could explain to me how to install this cable.

My scenario is:

Windows 7 enterprise 32-bits

Step 7 Microwin V4.0e

Siemens S7-200 CPU

I'm not able to configure the cable in my laptop.... even after installing Step 7 (it is supposed the USB drivers are included) when I connect my cable to a USB port it appears in the Device Manager as a "Human Interface Device", and in the PG/PC Interface settings there is no local connection to be used with the PPI cable........

Could you please help me on this?

Unfortunately I cannot find that file in my whole drive c: (the only one in my laptop).

First of all I'd like to clarify that I cannot even install the cable driver. I have installed Step 7 Micro/Win V4.0 SP4 and no USB option appear under PG/PC interface configuration.

Now I'm not at work, tomorrow I'll take a look at your advice.

If you plan to run Microwin 4.0 under Win 7 (32- or 64-bit), you should install SP9.

STEP7 MicroWIN V4.0 SP8 and SP9

Hello,

pls if you install some SW, better start install as Administrator. On x64 Win7 is preffered that S7pal..64.exe -up (it update PG/PC interfaces), but on x32 OS you need search for equivalent .exe that also make it. In this time I don't know that exe name.
