I have had a look through the system and its possible to use a 5 port 2 way valve so the right to left and left to right is operated on one of these valves.

The moving and fixed clamp is operated by one of these valves so that it will act on a solenoid for open and closed.

Would that make the programme easier to do?

There would be a sensor on both clamps to detect if its open or closed and a sensor on the right and the left to detect if shuttle is right or left.

the operation is as follows;

1) move shuttle to the right 

2) close fixed clamp

3) fire external cutter (independent)

4) time delay around 20 seconds

5) open moving clamp

6) move shuttle to the left 

7) close moving clamp 

8) open fixed clamp 

9) move shuttle to the right

10) close fixed clamp

11) fire external cutter (independent)

then repeat.

Hi, 

The programme that I have written now repeats how I would like - I was wondering if anyone can help me with one last thing.

I would like to use two inputs - stop button and reset into the programme.

Stop - stops the cycle as it is.

Reset - only reset once sequence has stopped and then energizes Q1 - Q2 - Q3. 

then once started the sequence carries on from Q4. 

I'm open to any improvements my programme needs.
