New about Faceplates as from TIA V17:

• Configuration is now started from toolbox, project library, types.
• Support of single variables and UDT at same time (UDT of simple elements)
• OpenFaceplateInPopup: you should pass faceplatename_Version as parameter
• It is possible read parent faceplate properties, like left and top, e.g. for positioning.
• Properties types: 64 bit int/uint, float, boolean, configuration string, color and resource list
• Resource list accepts graphic list.

• Now it is possible to call a pop up with a relative position related to the "parent faceplate":

 true =  position (left, top) is related to the main screen.

 false = postion (lfet, top) is related to the faceplate that call the popup.

• Now there is the possibility to close the faceplate instead to hide it.
  

   This is much more efficient as hide, once it delete the object instace, instead to hide it (and possibly forgot it hided somewhere...)

• There is a new property: Format -> Fit to size:
  None = scrow or let empty area, respecting the size set in the screen
  Fit window in screen = independently of the configured size, the faceplate will apear 100% and 1:1
  Fit screen in window = the faceplate will be erlage or shortered depending of the project configured size.

• Now it is possible to create faceplates from screen objects. Select the objects, right mouse click, 'Create faceplate". Tip: select just objects that could really be used in the faceplate.

• It is possible to read parent properties from the faceplate (i.e. the properties of the faceplate container, or the faceplate that call a popup). Use "Faceplate.Parent.Properties.'property name'" to get access to open instance. TIP, if you call it from a pop up, you can read only width and height.

Redirecting the connection tags

it is possible redirect the tags connected to the faceplate’s tag interface from outside, by script.

it should work to redirect tags with the faceplate tag interface, independently where it is used.

The tip is replace the "Open faceplate in popup"snippets text as follow
