IBS/Telemaster software is used to monitor online connections and modify numeric parameters and make/break connections. STRUC L is used to modify or compile software. MLX is used for EPROM compare and other facilities. MELCOPY is used to copy an EPROM to a file on a PG (Programming computer).

The software in your online system is a compiled program, so it is not so easy to transfer it from online to offline and have full editing capability, if that is what you are expecting. If all you want is to make a backup in the event of a hardware failure, then the above should be sufficient.

In order to make the upread eeprom file editable, it would need to be decompiled, which is technically possible using the RCOP program of the same version as the Struc used to compile the program in the online system. The RCOP-recovered file will be poorly organized and uncommented, however.

The above progams run under MS-DOS and/ or older MS-Windows, and may run under newer windows operating systems in "compatibility mode".

A graphical online and offline configuration, compiler and monitor program called Struc-G is available only under the SCO-Unix operating system.

Your local Siemens Automation sales office should be able to sell you the required software through 2015, as a supported spare part, if you are the original owner of the system and legitimate licensee of the program running on it.

Another handy program to have when maintaining an older Simadyn-D system is called Strucview. This was written by a Siemens Engineer and is not a supported product of Siemens. The author is deceased, so it is freely redistributable, if you can find a copy. You might try a search of this forum and/ or a google search. The Strucview program allows you to view the program graphically (like as on the Struc-G platform),is great for printing the software, and is a really helpful companion tool for your IBS/telemaster online troubleshooting and parameterization.
