CP 443-1EX20-0XE0 communication failure

MHasan Posts: 63 Rating: (4)	Dear All, Ihave a plc system consisting of*CPU 416-2XN05-0AB0, *CP443-1EX20-0XE0 (for ethernet)and *CP443-5DX05-0XE0 (for profibus). This PLC system is communicating with the Panel PC (phoenix) andPC based server over ethernet interface. The panel PC and Server are installed with third party scada system (WEBFACTORY SCADA). This PLC is also communicating with field devices over profibus(RS-485) interface. In normal condition the INTF and EXTF fault LEDs lit all the time. The cpu is already programmed such that it doesnt goes at "Stop mode". My Problemis when the ethernet communication between PLC and panel PC/Serverstops. All the LEDs of CP443-1 lits. The BUS2F LED of CPU 416-2 also lits at the same time. (for reference please see the attached image) But when i turn the PLC panel power off and then turnpower on, the ethernet communication between PLC and panel PC/Server becomes normal. LEDs statusof CP443-1also becomes normal. BUS2F LED of CPU 416-2 also not lits. Please suggest what should i do to stop ethernet communication failure. Attachment ccp.JPG (270 Downloads)

MHasan Posts: 63 Rating: (4)	No the problem is not solved yet. The real problem is the plc panel is located at a remote place. The plc to pc connection is via ethernet which uses Cp443-1.i access the Step 7 via remote desktop team viewer software (internet) from a remote place. When the plc system is having ethernet comm. failure state i cant acess the step7 software in online condition. i will get the diagnostic file when ethernet communication is working. I will need your advise soon after a week or sooner when i get back to that project. Thanks for your interest..

What causes the STOP of the ethernet communication? Shut down of the PC? or is that your question? i have to admit that your question is for me not really clear. As Marcjan says: the diagnostic buffer is perhaps a good point to start from.
