albertman Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, Sorry for my tip and not informative English - I'm from Russia We got trouble - the installed Microbox 427B (within Microsoft XP Embeded, 3 Profibus cards) has hanged on (or freezed) suddenly. Was no any reaction: no any mouse movement, Caps Lock button and Ctrl+Alt+Del was no react. When we switched off the MB and unpluged Profibus cards, we swiched back the MB (Microbox) it was run, when we add new Profibus card it start to hang on. On OS no possibility to open folder or change something, no mouse movement, but WinLC runs, OP77B are available the system runs correctly, but no any visualisation no any rection on OS. Is it possible that MB freezes with Profibus cards, maybe a card is broken, but in that case the system coudn't run ... what can be reason??? Best reagards, Albert NASTP

For me, it looks like there was some kind of error which caused the WinAC Panel to crash. Dear TomDeWou, We got the same fault on our Microbox 427B. But on Event log of WinLC was different messages, I cannot remember word for word: there was IO,cannot start etc. After restarting of whole system (Microbox) it didn't help. So what can be the reason for starnge situation??

Dear bigfoot, yes our MB was worked before with 3 additional Profibus cards without anyobjection 3 years! First trouble was occure when we chaned the RAM memory of MB. The new RAM is excatly same as previous. So after that our OS is running not so properly. Also our WinCC visualisation is not runns on that MB. We thought maybe something wrong with Licenses but we are not pretty sure ...

Then restart with your cards again and reinstall the driver for the cards and add them again at the component configurator. My thought is, maybe the configuration (that you use the Profibus cards in WinAC, so they are no longer available for windows) was saved anywhere on your MB. After you changed the ram this configuration or information is gone or not more the same. So Windows tries to install all new driver because new hardware is found. But because you have the Profibus in your component configuration and not useable for windows your OS begin to hang. Can this be possible?? It is just an idea. You also can try to start you MB with your current configuration and all Cards with your old RAM and see if it works. bigfoot

At this moment the system runs without OS visualisation: I mean no possibility to watch at desktop, or/and open any folder with files etc. We just switched of the Monitor which has connected them. So now we prepare new MB to change it with that hang MB. And while we were preapre, we realised that new MB also is hanging a little bit at start up time. But after it runs prettey faster, no any hanging. The test was with Profibus cards and without. With switched on and off of Ewfmgr servise. Now we begin to think, that's natural situation of Mbes ... Tha's not good.

The windows XP Embeded not reacts on any action of user. Clicking on folder - doesn't open it, moving of mouse coursor - not seen, opening License manager shortcut - opens about 1-2 hours ( one day I left it to open sertainly). So, we sertainly sure, that changed/new RAM is suitable and excatly same by volume, factory so no any idea WHY DOES OS OF MB IS HANGING??

albertman Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	1. Didn't check the safe mode ... hm, that can be idea! 2. Task Manager opens also so slowly. No chanse to wait until opens. But when you are able to watch after opened Task manager, the CPU is loaded 100% ALWAYS! No any time it decreases, always keeps 100%. Of course most of RAM are used S7's services Maybe, in repair-day/production stop day I could make screen shots. But checked others MB with same systems, (except 1 Profibus card exceeded on the hanged MB). Others are also has CPU loaded until 100% and keeps

Maybe the reason why the Windows is not reacting anymore is, because the MByou have is a little oldergeneration and was not so fast from the begining. And with installing software and safe data on the MB the system is getting slower and slower So my suggest is (when there is no other way or solution to try) toreinstall the OS with WinAC software packages. Or do you have any more information for us? bigfoot

albertman Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hello, Yea you are right aboutl old generation of MB. That is 427B, we also begin to think, maybe it geting slow due to of that hardware. However, we are prepare new MB and waiting production off day to try make a test. SO at this moment no any information.
