Exactly type of the motor bearing

I look in siemens documentation butIfind only this information: "Deep-groove ball bearing" no type nothing.It is necessery to change it every 2-3 years but anybody know it is possible to change by myself or i need to send whole motor to the service. Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hi, If it is on the Spindle motor you can give try as spindle encoder doesn't required any positioing.... Where as Feed Motor it is risk of doing it....as it requires positioning to done...best way is to send it for repairs.... Regards, Ekalavya

I like Siemens controllers but the politics of company is always oriented towards to profit. They should put somewhere in doc what bearing they use in motors and how setup encoders. I know that with oscilloscope and analog outputs on drive is possible to adjust encoder. Do you know how to do that? With regards, makaveli

I have -1PH7 (1PH7163-2NG23-0BC0, 1PH7224-2NF03-0BC2, 1PH7184-2ND03-0BC2, 1PH7137-2NG03-0BJ0), -1FT6 (1FT6136-6AC71-1AH1, 1FT6102-8AB71-1AA1, 1FT6102-8AB71-1EA1, 1FT6132-6AC71-1AG1, 1FT6134-6AC71-1AG1, 1FT6108-8AC71-1AH1), - and even DC motor: 1GG (1GG6288-0NB46-1VV1-Z) You know where i can find what exactly type of bearings i have inside. Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, Normally NSK and NTN bearings are used on these motors.Yes it is difficult to replace the bearing on this motors at site. Whole motor need to be removed out completely…. if it is Feed motor alignment is required.
