Replace motor

Portal Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	We have an obsolete 1PH7 186-2FL030DK5-Z serial N-W4 1229351010005/2008 controlled by an D445 and we want a spare motor on the selve. We receive a quote for a 1PH8-186-1FL13-0DA1-Z Z=K18+G14+K40+L27 and 1PH8-186-1WL13-0DA1-Z_G14+K18+K40+L27. Both motor need software change so I got 2 questions: 1- Which motor of this two number is the perfect replacement 2- I don't have the full Simotion project, however I have the D445-Sinamic (from upload). If the replacement motor have the same encoder, can I replace the PH7 by a PH8 simply by reading motor thru drive-clic (see picture). regards Attachment 1ph7.png (768 Downloads)

Nevertheless, in regard of a similar successor I would recommend the L-encoder (AM22DQ) which is equipped with a DQ -Interface. The "W"-Encoder is realized in HTL-tech and you need a sensor module for evaluation. 2. Applying the DQ-encoder you can read all relevant motor data via DQ-protocol like you already showed in your picture. Do you know the "SIEMENS 1PH8 transcode tool"? It gives you a most matching 1PH8-successor of a certain variety of former SIEMENS asynchronous motors like 1PH7, 1PL6,... just have a look on SIEMENS support web sites.

ms... Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Replacing a 1PH7 with a 1PH8 will most likely require re-tuning of the drive, and possible changes in gain scaling if that feature is being utilized. Also be aware that in some systems, the gain values and other drive parameters may be set based on configuration information on every power up of the system.
