gendy Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Can anybody advise me what type of HMI can i use to work with S7 300 CPU 315 DP the old one was connected in profibus network CPU - ET200 - HMI so the direct connect was with the ET200 -we can modify that- Can I use HMI have port RS232 or 485?? what the products name(HMI) that support the profibus-DP if i didn't use Siemens HMI, i ll need a driver or somthing like that?

gendy Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	hi thanks for your reply, but i know the HMI from siemens and no problem in communication and programming but i found aproblem in price some other HMI with the same size butcommunicate with port RS232 and Rs485but it didn't mention that they communicate using profibus one type is Eaton mention that it can communicate with s7300 but using rs232 to MPI cable so if u pleasecould u adviseme with another brand namecommunicate profibus?

And you are right, all of then use external Profibus card. And this cards is made by the same company. This is normal, becouse PROFIBUS (Process Field Bus) is a standard for field bus communication in automation technology. In this way manufactories made their panel more "flexible" and useful with more possibilities. About brands, I suggest you try to search in google for it.
