Hello combinu; Some models of analog modules in the S7-300 family use "range modules" to setup their working parameters. This is the square connector on the module side, marked A-B-C-D. The screenshot below shows you the possible selections on a SM331-7KF02, indicating how the input measurement type will chage depending on hpw the ramge module is positionned in the AI module. As you can see, placing the range modules on A (they are valid per pair of channels) will allow you to connect mV sensors or temperature sensors (RTDs and TCs, for example), using 2 channels per sensor (which explains why you can only connect 4 RTDs on the AI module, instead of the normal 8 channels for voltage/current measuremts). So your module behaves exactly as Siemens has designed it, it seems. As far as the overflow measurement is concerned (the value 32767) we need to know what sensor type is connected, how the range module is setup, and how the wiring has been done, if you want mpre precise help. By the way, Siemens provides extensive documentation on all its automation equipment, and it is very detailed as well as freely-downloadable (use the search box at the right of this page, under Knowledgebase/Manuals, for example). You should have all your answers in the S7-300 Module data document, Ch. 6, Analog Modules. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/za/en/view/8859629 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
