SW Redundancy, How to enable CPU A as master at start up

I am having SW Redundancy system with 2 CPU-315-2DP and WinCC 6.2 All system is working fine like data transfer during the swichover But when switching power on, CPU-B becoming master CPU How to configure CPU-A as master during start up, because in WinCC I have considered CPU-A as master

john Enthu Posts: 69 Rating: (0)	Dear ROCKON, you mean second IM-B is getting activated in place of first IM-A at power up. Also, you mean MPI address-2 is CPU-A and MPI address-4 is CPU-B. in this case, just interchange the MMC in CPU-A and CPU-B. power on the panel and then you will get MPI-Address-2 will be your master. please, note that in this case also, you will get second IM will be in active mode. but now, you will get the connection of Wincc with MPI-address-2 at the power start up. if your case is different then what i understood, then let me know the details.......... regards............

Does this makes sure that CPU-A(MPI address 2) will always start at startup I am also facing one problem with WinCC Whenever I am switching PLC through control bitDB 5. DBX10.0, WinCC dosen't switches So it doesn't allowsme to change valuesin WinCC

john Enthu Posts: 69 Rating: (0)	Dear Rock on....... that's is confirm..........you will get MPI address-2 as master. in Wincc, if you have configured redundancy, then no need to change the program. above exercise will solve all of your problems........... regardss..............

Gaurav Kharadi Posts: 14 Rating: (1)	Dear Khaled, I tried it by swaping CPU powers. But the result was same. I also tried by swaping IM 153-2 power. But no progress. When I open NetPro and Look for Master system on IM 153-2 Redundant, it shows master system Profibus-2 with ID-1. I think this may be the cause. Thanks Gaurav H. Kharadi
