Dears Could you please find the diagnose buffer and tell my why the CPU said that both of FDI modules (0 &10) have internal power supply failed and after milliseconds said both of them are ok, by the way, I have got a 35340 page on Process Historian that time about the devices which connected to these FDIs as a Failure massage. Your fast reply is really appreciated. Best Regards, Nawaf Saif AttachmentDiagnose.txt (468 Downloads) |

Hi Nawaf Saif, According to the manual, the remedy would be to replace the module. However, since I see three identical modules in your configuration and only the two on your PROFIBUS slave with address 3 are affected, I would suspect another reason. You should check your power supply wiring. Compare it to the power supply of the other device. You may be able to get rid of the alarms by disabling the diagnostic interrupt in the module configuration. However, this may not be an option as it will disable all diagnostic interrupts. Hi Nawaf Saif, You can replace one of the affected modules with the one that is working correctly. If the location of the error also changes, you should replace the module with a new one. When I asked you to check the power supply, I was thinking more about some differences between the two units. When is the power supply turned on/off? Are there differences in the basic wiring? Is a protective device used? Could it be that the protective device is near its limit? It is always a good idea to contact Siemens to resolve the problems. If you have not already done so, please create a support request. Kind regards |
