Hello DSI; Read this presentation about the power supply you are checking out, it gives an explanation of the 20 ms buffering time parameter: https://www.totallyintegratedautomation.com/2017/08/power-buffer-reduces-downtime/ "The PS 60W 24/48/60V DC HF system power supply with buffer supports the power supply to the backplane of the S7-1500 CPU during power failures just long enough to make all of the CPU data retentive. This module – which has no battery and therefore requires no maintenance – provides a power buffer so the CPU has time to write current information into memory. Hi Daniel, where can I find that presentation, seems that the page is no longer available, I just installed into my panel and it's working great!!! but I would like to understand how it actually works.

Hello M.I. Mauro Machuca; The artcle I presented (from totalyintegratedautomation.com) is no longer available, 2 years after it was published. The closest I can find now is the official manual from Siemens: - Power supply module PS 60W 24/48/60VDC HF (6ES7505-0RB00-0AB0 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109746400 The manual decribes the retentivity support function of ths power supply unit, but gives little description of the mechanism that allows this to operate, unfortunately.
