SM321 (Digital Input Module)

Ross_A Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a question regarding wiring of a SM321 Module (Specifically the module; 6ES7321-1BH02-0AA0). In the 'S7-300 Automation System Module Data' document it shows a example wiring diagram of the module and i don't understand why there are switches shown between the +24V supply and pins 2, 9, 12 and 19. Can anyone explain this please? I will use this module to receive a +24V signal from a relay (SPDT, 110V AC on the coil and 24V DC on contacts to feed SM321 Card, so if someone could describe how to wire this i would appreciate it. I've attached a rough sketch of how i think it should be connected, can someone fill in the blanks please? http://i36.tinypic.com/mv4t90.jpg Regards, Ross

FunStuff Posts: 103 Rating: (10)	The module data drawing is just depicting the first and last input terminals for each section of terminal numbers. Terminals 0,10 and 11 are not used and you need to supply +24VDC power com to pin 20 as this is a sinking module. Your relay contact would be wired like the NO switches shown on pin 2, 9, 12 or 19and could be wired to any input terminal 1-9 or 12-19. Hope this helps.
