Hello MPVishnu Did you figure out what the issue was, I am getting something very similar which happened in January this year and now again in October. I loaded the 'Pull or Plug of Modules (OB83)' in January I have loaded 'Diagnostic Error Interrupt (OB82)' today There is nothing obvious that I can see that is wrong, I have checked and the modules are tightly screwed/secured to the rail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Update the PLC firmware, but leave the project firmware the same for the PLC. If there is a newer firmware - as already posted - for the failing module(s), update firmware for those modules. It may be the module is marginally ok. You should see what happens if you move that module left or right one location in the PLC layout. Does the problem stay with that slot or does it stay with that module? Be careful to save the IO addresses for the 2 modules getting moved around and reassign those same values after swapping 2 modules so you do not need to redo logic. Also, if your PLC uses system constants for either of the 2 swapped modules, they will need to be updated. A compile of the hardware / software will tell you that problem right away. If it lasts a year without happening again, at least you made the problem better. If it happens more often, you will know exactly what is wrong - the module, or the buss connector for that slot. Is it the last module in the rack? If it is, just replace the buss connector and see if that fixes it.

thank you for taking the time to answer I have ordered new card bus connectors now as well for all of the cards from where the error was occurring which I will swap out on the next shut-down as another step in the process of problem elimination. From there if the problem still persists I may start swapping cards. I have done something on the power side too which I commented on in the thread
