encoders can be connected with PROFIBUS/PROFINET direct to the SImotion.

Or you use the DriveCLiQ or Encoder interfaces on the SImotion D410-2, then the Encoder is configured in Sinamics a external encoder and you can connect a SIMOTION TO "External Encoder" to it.

yes x23 is possible, is a build in SMC30, so the encoder is work with SMC30 then you can connect it here.

To select the X23 interface you must choose "D410_2" in the encoder interface on the Encoder configuration tab.

The X23 is assigned to the Sinamics Integrated so you must first configure a encoder in sinamics and then in simotion and connect the Simotion Encoder with the Sinamics Encoder.
