How to Read the Status of PLC Load Voltage 2L+

I'm looking for a way to detect when we lose output power (load voltage) 2L+.  I found there is a diagnostic enable button in the PLC hardware configuration for detecting this state but I would like to be able to detect it in the logic so I can report it to an upper level system.

Processor I'm using is a 1516pro F-2 PN.  I do also have various IO cards attached to the processor so detecting the loss of output power from them is an option but ideally I'd like to get it from the processor directly so it will work in all scenarios going forward.

so far I know is there no possibility to check the power supply of your CPU.

One way to check this is that you read your voltage with a analog input and detect the voltage status.
Use a signal conditioner e.g. 

to convert your supply voltage to a 0..10 V signal and evaluate the voltage with a analog input module.
Maybe you can use a process alert if the voltage is lower then xx Volt.

Thanks for making a reply. Could you please expand on your idea. How do you utilize OB40 to detect a powerloss? 

Return 2L+ to Input as Falling Edge Detection, and assigned in OB40, after that OB40 networks can be programmed for illegal net work fore instance to return fault to CPU or specify it to HMI alarm and so on, Why OB40? because it has a high priority,  also the action will execute one time, at exact moment the input comes, That if I "Understood" the article writer desired.
