I have problems with Desigo CC client installation on one computer. The project couldn't be deleted, and it couldn't be started.

On the other computer client is working fine (with a server on the third computer, precisely on cloud).

I uninstalled all Desigo CC, including LMU, ALM, WinCC_OA and installed all again.

Trying to start DCC or SMC got this message:

What that means? Archive and installation seems to be good.

Is this a problem with access rights or something else?

All programs on all three PC are v6.0 QU3.

I have the same problem, but in my case is the server. I have tried reinstalling Desigo and installing QU3, QU2 and QU1 multiple times and the error is still present.

The only way that I don't have the error message is without installed Quality updates, but my project has QU2 applied, so I cant use Desigo without QU2.

I have opened a support ticket but I don't have answer yet.

When I have answer I will let you know what they tell me about it.

 I have this issue on a Dell computer. By chance is this the same vendor for your hardware?

Hi, my case was elevated in support , but I did more test.

I did one test on my engineering laptop (HP Brand) and got the same result.

But, there is one thing... if you follow the QU3 document (the installation process described), there is one part that the document says Extract from Brand DCC Family.zip (Desigo EN, Desigo NA, etc)... and the run the install patch file.

So, if you install QU3 patch without extracting the Brand DCC Family.zip, you wont have errors and you can start Desigo SMC...

But... on my test, after I did this, Desigo returns an error upgrading my project and there is no chance of run it because my project is outdated, I did several test with different backups and got the same issue, due to that, my ticket was elevated.

Regarding to if is a Dell Hardware, most of the projects that we do, are using DELL computers and servers and we never have the issue of software malfunction.

I had the same problem: if base installation is done, everything works. If I applied QU3, there were errors.

We are doing further investigation.

"Our" client computers are not Dell, but HP ProOne 440 G6 24 All-In-One PC.

Anyway, maybe there is the similar problem with preinstalled Windows.

This is my last update, in my case, QU3 does not work and for some reason I cant roll back to QU2, but Support told me that my project is eligible to upgrade to v7.

So, we upgrade to Desigo CC v7 QU2, and all was running very smooth.

I don't know the causes why QU3 does not work, but we got a solution that our customer likes (he got a software upgrade). Maybe you can open a ticket to try to solve or maybe you can be eligible to upgrade to v7 too.
