Hello Chris, I have had several applications where it was very hot. We used on of the apg enclosures to get active cooling for the cam. I think Siemens offers a similar type but without the the fittings for the cooling. Just have a look here: http://www.apgvision.com/Accessories%20Pages/l1accessories.htm The air knife (L1-M1AC) blows air across the outside of the window to keep off dust, oil mist, etc. This option requires the polycarbonate window. It also provides cooling. The air enters the enclosure via the provided NPT fitting, cools the camera and exhausts across the window. I haven't used this one before. I recommend theL1-M2 optionas I know that it works wellwith air entering through one air fitting and exhausting through the other. The amount of cooling provided depends upon the air temperature and flow rate.In your case, you will need to drop the camera temperature by ~20C. A clean, dry air source of ~5psi @ 25-30C or less should work. Do not overcool the camera enclosure, as you can create condensation which could damage the camera. Hope that helps, Peter |
