During a firmware update attempt on a SINAMICS DCM drive model 6RA8082-6FV62-0AA0, using a Siemens SD card 6SL3054-4AG00-2AA0, the unit stopped initializing correctly.

After the procedure, the unit no longer performs any function and remains stuck during startup, showing the following symptoms:

• RDY LED solid orange (not blinking);
• No communication possible via Starter — the drive is not detected;
• The BOP20 powers on, but shows no information or messages on the display;
• Hardware reset was not possible, since the Starter software cannot detect the drive.

Actions already taken:

1. Attempted firmware update directly via Siemens SD card 6SL3054-4AG00-2AA0.
2. Tested with firmware versions v1.5, v1.4, and v1.3, all without success.
3. Consulted the manual — confirmed that recovery via SD card is possible.
4. Verified that a specific SD card for DCM (6RX1800-0AS01) might be required, as regular SD or microSD cards are not recognized.
5. Searched for an alternative BIOS file, but the Siemens website only provides firmware files, not BIOS.
6. The unit remains stuck during startup, does not enter operational mode, and is not recognized through any communication method.
