Force table is a good tool for forcing I/Os without much work. I don't know why it is not working here. 4105H with all of it's good features doesn't support forcing?!!!

[OPINION]
Forcing IO on a running process is like shorting out an emergency stop. An accident waiting to happen. Forced IO do not ask questions, bypassing all safety measures built in by the original design.

Please consider adding in code that allows you to 'force' some state but still have some minimal safety built in.

I faced the same thing with a CPU 410-5H in SOLO mode, but I couldn't force any IO. I tried to use the so used force table, but don't know why this happens.

If anybody knows how to solve this, or what's happening: please help us. The last time I forced values was with a CPU 412-2 with no problems.

Hi all

For those who are trying to force I/Os in 410 PLC, I think forcing is disabled in this PLC (confirmation needed from experts).

As a replace, because it's better to use channel drivers for I/Os and you already have them in your program, the best way in my experience is to simulate I/Os from channel input/output drivers and remember to switch the simulation input of the driver block off when you are done.

CFC is a tool for PCS 7

My way of doing forcing is

1. CFC , Enable support forcing

You MUST enable support forcing in order to use forcing feature in CFC. 

To enable , go to Component View -> Under S7 Program -> Chart Folder -> Right Click Chart Folder -> Properties -> Look for Support Forcing and Enable it. Perform a chart compilation after that. Done~ 

2. SIMIT - link program to Simit, simulate hardware address via SIMIT.

Thank you for your solutions. I have some question and points on these methods:

1- Have you checked this method with 410 series? If yes, does this method turns the FRCE LED on? 

2- SIMIT is a very good and powerful tool, but needs additional license and many clients do not like spending money!

1. There is no Forced LED in CPU410. You may check the Forced input in Cross reference of CFC editor. When forced IO activated, you will always get reminded when you open CFC and close CFC chart. 

2. For SIMIT, we bought SIMIT VC under company for program device level testing and factory acceptance test purpose. 

Of course, we always suggest customer to invest on SIMIT, but with two options: 

Option 1 - low cost: use it only device level testing - Can be achieved within 10k to 100k usd depending on licenses size. Control engineer (Owner) can use it to get familiar on the project without affecting plant operation.  Integrator can use it for testing purpose and fix bug. 

Option 2 - high cost: develop operator training simulator: This is expensive. It consists of PLC-OS-Simit integration and Process Modeling engineering. The most expensive part is modeling.
