HART Capable modules on H-System

jelbo Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello , i am designing a H-system , i need to use Hart AI modules, but i need to know if the module 8xAI Hart 6ES331-7TF00-0AB0 can be used in a H-System. Did anybody use one of this in a H-System before?. Which other Hart AI modules can i use? Thanks in Advance.

When it is on the Profibus then it is no problem, when it is on the Ethernet, then you need the right routing way to come to the Profibus, that is for a H-System still over the Ethernet card to a Profibus card (for example 6GK7443-5DX04) and then it works also. When you don't have a CP443-5DX04 then you may use a IE/PB IO Link to come on the Profibus, but then PDM have to be used together with STEP7 (standalone won't work).

Hi Jelbo,

You need a communication which have PDM-Routing capabilitys and then it will work.

The Routing capabilitys for PDM are not the same as for the normal routing capabilitys for the CPs and the CPUs!!

Difference between routing and data record routing

QUESTION:
What is the difference between routing and data record routing?

ANSWER:
Normal routing is the transmission of data beyond your own network. Here you can send data via various networks to a receiver. For this you need special device technology which provides this functionality (see Entry ID 584459).

Data record routing is an extension of "normal" routing and is used exclusively by SIMATIC PDM. The requirements to be fulfilled for data record routing are given in Entry ID 7808062. Different to "normal" routing, however, the internal interfaces of the CPU (DP and MPI) are not suitable for data record routing. But you can use external communications processors (e.g. CP 443-5 EXT).

Data sent by data record routing includes the parameter assignment of the communications devices participating and also device-specific information (e.g. setpoint values, limit values etc.). In data record routing, the structure of the target address depends on the data content, i.e. on the device which the data is destined.

The field devices themselves do not have to support data record routing, because these devices do not forward the information content.

For routing thrue the CP443-5DX04 please see the FAQ Configuration of field devices with SIMATIC PDM via Industrial Ethernet / DS routing

When you use a Routing of S7 and of Data Sets (PROFIBUS DP) via the Link Gateway IE/PB
then it will only work when you are using PDM integrated into STEP7 and having the right licenses.

jelbo Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Late. In HW-Config the systems compiles without errors, we are using AI standard and AI Hart in redundancy. But I can´t find any information about routing PDM trough a H-system. In Step-7 there is not any reference or help. So, i wonder too if there will be any problem because of the electrical connection in a redundant analog input for the hart modulation. Thanks for your time.
