Radius Compensatio error

 we are not near your machine--at least you need provide CNC system? 840D ? 828D?

and story ? you running the new program?

Hello,

I have a machining process shown in the attached picture. I'm trying to machine the red part using the green portion of the tool. The tool has a larger diameter than the red part (iterpolation). When I use G41, the machine gives me the error "danger of collision due to tool radius compensation." Is there any workaround for this?

 Did you use CAD/CAM sw to generate that program? some CAM has  function to avoid collision

It's 840D on Grob g327. Program is new. We used to use g40, but we would like to use radius compensation.

 Let me say something maybe useful or no. our target is making things working. whatever in which way.

G41/G42 is traditional way to make round , I remember in recent 20 years--people using CAD/CAM to generate program without G2 or G3 and without G41//G42, all paths become short G1, 

think CAD/CAM  solution --I suggest
