Faceplate to match size of faceplate container

Hello dear Siemens expert,

I created a faceplate with only a button inside it.

When I instanciate a faceplate container with the faceplate created, the faceplate container will have the dimensions of the faceplate created by default (so far normal behavior).

When I want to resize the faceplate container, the button does not resize to the dimensions of the faceplate container. Is there a way to work around this display issue? I tried with the Size - fit property of the container but it does not work as expected.

Edit (precisions) : I work with TIA Portal V19 Update 3. The HMI is a MTP700 Unified.

Hey,

this is not possible, because the faceplate container is just a "frame" inside the screen. If you want to use the container’s width/height inside the faceplate, you need to pass these values in from the parent screen.

Alright, I manage to work around this issue as you suggested Faaabsen. I created 2 Property Interfaces in my faceplate (Height and Width, Lint type). I assigned these new Property Interface to the Height and Width parameters of the button and the Faceplate type. It works because my faceplate is a simple button but it would be more complicated on a more complex faceplate. Thanks again!

If I understood correctly the first question, it can absolutely be resized automatically.

In the following screenshot i have 3 instances of the same faceplate, each stretched to a different size with the property "Size - fit" set to "fit screen to window":

It is just a little buggy, you have to change the property before resizing the window. I have done it in V20, but I'am sure I have resized faceplates this way since V18.
