simple Braumat v5.3 step recording question

whatwouldmattdo Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody, apologies if this isn't the best place to post this question- I'm very new to process automation and am looking for a place to start. I'm a brewer using a recently implemented braumat v5.3 +SP2+HF3 system. I'm looking for the data that is recorded from each active sequence; presently we use an included "step protocols" utility that retrieves the data (and a trending program). Basically, these are very cumbersome and i'd like to make an interface for them. Some people have asked in these forums how to do something similar from s7 systems, and some very good answers were given about how to construct OPC clients and other strategies. This could be very helpful but i'm not sure it'd be necessary especially given this "step protocols" and the trending programs which seems to do a lot of the legwork anyway. Does anyone know the method that these data points are stored? from perusing the (badly translated) help files it sounds like they're stored globally in an SQL database but there is possibly capability for local recording, though i'm not certain if it's happening already. Please if anyone has any ideas or further questions please say so, I'm in the deep end but very keen to learn.
