Trouble with configuring MM440 for digital input frequency control

The drive was configured to run with a reset tied to DIN1 which I have setup as a fault acknowledgement via P0701 and that seems to work fine.

DIN2 is set to run in forward mode and from what I am told it used to run the motor at 15Hz.

DIN5 was used as the reverse run condition also at 15Hz. If I understand the ladder correctly (poor commenting) I think this will never turn on with the forward condtion so it would be a separate run state just reversed direction.

DIN4 is used as a high speed enable. If the motor is running in either forward or reverse and this is selected, it will increase output frequency set point to 25Hz.

I am not sure how to set the parameters to allow this operation. I specifically need help with the 701-705 and 1000-1006 parameters and then any parameter which may be affected by those.

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am attaching an older quick start guide for the MM440. It has very good instructions for basic commissioning.

first commission the drive with the correct motor data as shown in the quick start guide, then make the following parameter changes:

P700 = 2 - (should be default)

P701 = 9 - fault ack

P702 = 16 - run + fixed freq selection

P703 = 0 - disabled

P704 = 99 - Bico

P705 = 99 - bico

P842 = r722.4 - (for the reverse input)

P1000 = 3 - fixed frequency selection for speed setpoint

P1001 = 10 hz

P1002 = 15 hz

P1003 = 15 hz

P1020 = r722.3 - (DIN2 state for frequency selection)

P1021 = r722.1 - ( DIN4 state for frequency selection should already be set)

P1022 = r722.4 - (DIN5 state for freq selection)

Since frequencys add, if DIN2 and DIN4 are active, the freq will be 25 hz (sum of P1001 and P1002)

If DIN4 and DIN5 are both active, the freq will be -25 hz (sum of P1001 and P1003)

If DIN2 and DIN5 were activated at the same time, the frequencys will add, and the switch that was activated will determine the direction, so if you are running in forward and the reverse switch is activated, the result will be 30 HZ in the forward direction.

When changing directions, the drive will have to come to a complete stop before the other direction input is activated, or the drive will stop. The drive will expect to see the positive edge of the run command after it has came to a complete stop.

This should get your drive running like you want. Just note, the DI com terminal for the MM440 drive is on terminal 28, where the MM3 digital input com was on terminal 2. If you are using an external supply, you will need to connect the 0 volt side of the supply to terminal 28 to make the inputs read correctly.

Seems like it should work as it is a lot more than I tried thus far.
