Silver Member Joined: 8/10/2006 Last visit: 7/1/2025 Posts: 298 Rating: (29)	I currently receive the newsletter regarding product updates, but is there ONE specific site on the Siemens support pages that lists all the most current part numbers and notifications of any updates? I've looked for a single site, but cannot find it. For example, I learned about the updated IM153-2 (MLFB 6ES7 153-2BA02-0XB0) via the newsletter, but didn't catch the part about the 153-2BA00-0XB0 (all my ET200M modules are 153-2AA00 type). Thanks, this will help a lot with revision control. We need to track, test and document revision changes in hardware, firmware and software before we can put it into the factory. Jim

Floyd Posts: 130 Rating: (1)	PCS7_id10t: I too would like a central database or notification proceedure when new release come out. (specifcally software) The best solution i have found is to do a Support Search for your product (i.e. Step 7 5.3) and restrict the results (adjust your settings) to "Downloads" only. If you try that for the example i gave, you'll get all the service packs in a nice orderly list. Perhaps this would work with hardware also? Not too bad, but you still have to make the effort to check. :(

I wanted to write a web spider that would check the page on a regular basis for me, and compare it to my "gold standard" of parts and send out a report if any updates are on the horizon, or if it encountered errors while doing its search. Then I can hand it to someone else to do the monitoring of the program (I do not work in any fixed location, nor do I have any desktop computer that's always running) I'll keep digging.

Another way to get this information is typing the MLFB-number into the mall, see sample. If you want more information on the status then the support site is the one. To be up-to-date with your software on a very comfortable way is using the SUS.
