Using MM440 as spare for MM430

Dear

We have MM430 connected via DP to S7-400.

Is it possible to replace it with MM440 (same power, same parameters, same DP address) without any changes to step 7 software and HW config of PLC?

It depends upon the applications & features configured. Moreover MM430 compatible with BOP2 & MM440 is compatible with BOP, AOP.

Moreover user need to change parameters like, inverter type, firmware version etc. etc. (Here I presume that 440 is equivalent to 430 as you mentioned in your post)

It's not a problem to configure parameters of VFD, I mean the main question is: can I change it without any changes to PLC program?

In HW-config there is Micromaster 4 device, is that universal GSD for the whole family?

Also there are GSD's  for the MM430 and MM440, but they have the same order number in catalog. That is what confusing me.
