Domoticom Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have extensively searched google, this forum, and Siemens web, but the compatibility/interoperability of basic modules and exp. modeules is still a big mystery to me. I build a system with: 6ED1052-1FB08-0BA1 (230v Logo) and 3 x 6ED1055-1FB00-0BA2 (4 x 230v relay) This system works fine, everything is well. Now I need to build the same system, but with a heater controller (sauna). So I ordered a PT100 to 0-10v converter to connect a temp. sensor to the analog input of the 6ED1052-1FB08-0BA1 because there's no room on the DIN rail left for a temp. sensor input exp. module Then I discovered it doesn't have an analog input, so I ordered a 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA1 (tinstead of the 6ED1052-1FB08-0BA1) which has analog inputs. I do have room for a powersupply in the enclosure to feed the Logo since it doesn't have 230 input. But now the expansion modules (3 x 6ED1055-1FB00-0BA2) don't fit. The plastic pins on the bottom don't match. Help.

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 9/7/2025 Posts: 35933 Rating: (4498)	Well, you should have found out about that beforehand. 230RCE LOGO!s have no analog inputs. A 12/24RCE has analog inputs, but cannot be connected to 230V expansion modules because the bus between the modules has no electrical isolation. That is why the mechanical coding of the 230V expansion modules does not match the 12/24RCE base module. I urgently wanted to warn to break up the mechanical coding so that the expansion modules fit the 12/24RCE base module. You can do the following: 230 RCE base module, then the three 230V expansion modules and then an analog input module AM2 or an analog expansion module AM2 RTD. The bus of the analog expansion module has a electric isolation on the input side. AM2 = 2 x 0-10V or 0/4-20mA input AM2 RTD = 2 x PT100/1000 input

Domoticom Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	thnx, but I only have room for 1 logo (4 wide) and 3 exp. modules (2 wide) so 10 wide in total. Is there a way to to that or better reengineer the enclosure (lot of work) I do have room for the PSU because that doens't go on the bus. Wish the was a buscable so the Logo system goed on more that one DIN row, but there isn't.

If you can fit the power supply in a second row, then there is definitely room for the 12/24 RCE. You can then network these with the 230V LOGO using an Ethernet cable. So you can use the 0-10V transmitter by the 12/24RCE and the temperature value can you transfer to the 230RCE LOGO! via network.

Domoticom Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	yeah I know, but I don't want 2 Logo's, too messy. Thnx for all the ideas, It would be nice to have some kind of interoperability chart/matrix of all logo's and modules. nThen I can figure out my options.
