I’m working on a SICAM PAS project where I need to "OR" multiple indications to generate general alarms. I have about 65 of these alarms to create, so using the group method isn’t practical.

I came across the PAS_ORI function block in the SoftPLC manual, but it only allows "OR-ing" 4 indications at a time, requiring cascaded blocks for alarms with more than 4 inputs. Some of my general alarms require "OR-ing" over 20 inputs, which would make the programming complex and difficult to manage.

Is there a more efficient way to handle this in SICAM PAS or SoftPLC? Would it be possible to develop a custom function block that doesn’t require a predefined number of parameters when declared?

I’m also open to any alternative approaches you might suggest.
