Hello, how do i back up my s7 Plc program with hardware configuration and when I do a compare blocks does this verify my hardware configuration or only the blocks, how would i verify my offline plc program and hardware configuration matches online, and how would i move comments from an older version of my plc program to put in my new backup especially if it has changes

I don't really understand all of your questions, maybe you should try to write them in a more organized way...

If you want to retrieve a program from an S7 PLC, you can use TIA Portal. You can connect online to the PLC and select the option ‘upload device as a new station’. This will upload the entire project, including the hardware configuration and the program, from the PLC to your computer. Once the upload is complete, save the project on your computer. 

Another option is to create the backup on a SIMATIC memory card.

Before comparing, i normally upload the DB's to the offline project, so they are up to date.

 No, in the Simatic Manager world, depending if you have devices configured with GSD/GSDML files, you can't upload the full hardware.

Try to get the original engineering copy of the project.
