6 RA 22 F21 problem

PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Expert Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 11/23/2024 Posts: 8092 Rating: (882)	Hello experts, Our VTL machine is equipped with 6RA22 type 200 A DC drive. Recently drive tripped on F21. In manual F21 significance is described as "External pulse cancellation is activated" (board A2 : Terminal X1:1 is not connected to X1:2) I checked & found short link intact. Replaced A2 board but of no use. I checked the logic i.e. terminal 17, 18, K1, & K2 relay functioning & found working OK. Finally I suspect the malfunction of A1 card & hence changed the A1 card, reloaded paramater & found out that drive started functioning ok. My question is then how the drive was displaying F21 i.e. external pulse cancellation, when logically there is no any terminal which cancells the pulses? Also does any one have the idea of functioning of K1,K2,K3 & K4 relay on A2 board? Thanks in advance. DEEP.

Ok let me put it in another way. In 6RA22 drive when no any external pulse cancellation terminal is defined, then how drivetrips on F21? Thanks, DEEP.

jimmyslug Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	hello i have had the same fault on two seperate 6ra22 30a drives the first time i believed to be caused by a brown out with our site power supply the second time it happened whilst the m/c was functioning the faults reset and do no reappear i have had it come back once a few months later but again reset ok it reports terminal 7 not connected to terminal 8 for the 30a units (pulse cancelation) in both cases the link between terminals 7+8 are intact on board b it will be interesting if we go hard on with this fault to replace board a as you have and see if we get the same result cheers jimmy
