For example, a Modbus station is connected to a SIMATIC S7-1500. The communication is programmed and yet the CPU does not establish a connection to the Modbus station. The status of the module is queried and the result is an error code with the designation 16#80CE. Solution: The error code is output if the HW ID on the module was specified incorrectly. The HW ID can be found in the device view under the tab "System constants". Hi, when you insert 80CE in search field of the online help/manual, you need to select the proper tag of the results. MB_SERVER calls TCON and 80CE from TCON means "invalid IP address".
