I want to send information to a DCS ABB 800XA by MODBUS TCP, but I don't want to use the profinet of the CPU since I want to leave it only for the drives. Check and there is the CP 1243-1 for S7-1200. Can I carry out MODBUS TCP communication with the CP 1243-1 (6AG1 243-1BX30-2AX0) or another?

Hi,

the CP supports the open user communication (OUC).
As modbus tcp is based on OUC, in theory this should work.

Furthermore you have mentioned the SIPLUS variant. If you do not need the additional coating, you can also use the standard variant of this CP.
