Parameter "Cycle" in SFB 41 "CONT_C"

According to TIA Portal's F1-Help for the CONT_C block's Input parameters:

TIA Portal F1-Help (CONT_C)

INPUT PARAMETER: CYCLE
DATATYPE: TIME
DEFAULT: 1ms

The time between block calls must be constant. The "Sampling time" input specifies the 
time between block calls.

CYCLE >= 1ms

For your application, you need to change either the cyclic interrupt time for OB35 to 1s, or change CYCLE input to 100ms.

The block's logic assumes they are the same.  If that is actually true, then the block should simply ask the PLC what OB it is currently executing (in your case, 35), and what that OB's (OB35) cyclic interrupt interval is.

There must be some edge case where Siemens needs the flexibility to allow them to be different.  And for that, you will need to contact Siemens and ask if your situation fits those anticipated edge cases - or not.

Am I correct in understanding that the "Cycle" parameter in the SFB 41 "CONT_C" function block is responsible for the update time of the input controlled variable "PV_IN" and, accordingly, the recalculation of the output control action "LMN"?

For example, if my "Cycle" parameter is set to T#1s, but SFB 41 "CONT_C" is called in OB35 with a T#100ms value.
Then the control action "LMN" is still changed only once per second (t = Cycle = T#1s), and not every time OB35 is called (t = T#100ms). Am I correct?
