gsd file for LAUER

Hello every body.

I uploaded program form PLC.

I need GSD file for LAUER  PC807

I searched all of web.but  I couldn't find  GSD file for PC807

Do anybody have this GSD file?

or  where can I download  this file

Based on this message, you should try to cantact Beijer to see if they have Lauer panel files in their archives:

A .200 file is an old L2 network electronic file, L2 being an ancestor to Profibus-DP for S5 communications.. To read it you would need a COM ET200 software, integrated in Step 5. It seems that Lauer adapted this file so it could serve as a gsd file for their equipment But as you noticed it is extremely difficult to retrieve a .200 file on the web.

If there is any way to contact the programmer of the original S7 program, he may still have a copy of this file; if you can open the original program, you will find it in the Step 7 files .../data/gsd/... directory.

I sent a Email  to Beijer Electronics Group  and asked them to send me GSD file.

But I have another question.

If I upload program from PLC. and I don't have GSD file of some of device in my uploaded file.

If  I  download to another same PLC. It must work correctly?  or  I must have GSD file .

The gsd file is not dowloaded to the PLC, only the selected connections that are built with the gsd file so the slave can communicate with the master.

As suggested ear;lier, if you have access to the orignal program then all gsd files used in the project can be found in the program files, under .../Data/gsd/...

Before S7 PLCs there were S5 CPUs, and before Profibus Siemens had developped a similar network named L2-DP for S5 processors with interface modules IM 308A. The electronic data file for slaves on L2-DP was integrated with a separate software COM ET200, and had an extension .200.

Eventually the network evolved to Profibus, the integration of the file was done with software COM Profibus and it was called a gsd file. But for a small period .200 files could be used for Profibus slave integration, with a S5 interface module IM 308B. That seems the case for your Lauer unit.

One important question: are you sure about the designation of your Lauer PC807 HMI? There are links on the web for Lauer PCS-807 panels, with Profibus connection accessories, and software links. Possibly that is what you are really looking for? If this is the case, searching the web for PCS-807 would generte this type of answers.

Have you looked at the instructions provided for the integration of a .200 file that I provided earlier? You have to expect that the syntax of a .200 file would be different from that of a .gsd file.

If you have doubts, why don't you try with the LAUSPC3X.GSD file that you can download just below the .200 version in the ftp site? These are the few starting lines of the gsd file:

#Profibus_DP 
Vendor_Name         = "Systeme Lauer GmbH" 
Model_Name          = "PCS 807-Modul SPC3" 

So, the first thing to clear up is whether this PCS-807 part 
number ​is correct for the HMI module you are using; you have 
not cleared that point up yet.

What are you afraid of, exactly? You will not damage the CPU or the slave unit by experimenting with the configuration files. Worst, case, you will get an error message stating that the configuration does not match the unit.
