lalabmi Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hi! Today I testing it on site.. I tried to change the ports numbers of every modbus client. i make it 502,503,504 and 505... When i changed those ports, ive noticed that all modbus clients dont communicate because the their ethernet led in scalance are not blinking anymore. But when i make the 502 on all port numbers,the ethernet led of all clients in scalance are blinking but the data of every client are transfering to data blocks of other client. The data of 4 clients are rumbled. What will i do??? What parameter should i change?? thanks..

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Kaulquappe when the client can setup Modbus communication via different ports than 502, it would be the easiest way to use different port numbers. Hello Lalabmi, I think you missed an important part of the sentence.... When you change the port number at S7 side, you must also adapt it at the client side. Back to your questions regarding the simulation: You can't simulate S7 with CP communication. You can simulate one or more Modbus clients with one PC. Regards, Kaulquappe

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Lalabmi, at the S7 side you change the port number in NetPro, properties of the connection. I don't know how your 3rd party device is parameterized, probably you can find some information in its manual. Regards, Kaulquappe
