S5 EPROM Error Code 900

GotABetterJob Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I am trying to program a simatic S5 memory submodule using "step 5 EPROM Programming v1.1". The memory was plugged into a pg using a S5Prog Adapter. The message I get is " The EPROM driver registers an error. Error no. 900 USB prommer locked / not connected." I get this with a number of EPROMS and I know the EPROMS are healthy,and are connected. Can anyone explain what this error actually means and how I can resolve it. Thanks

Thanks hello, what have you done to solve this problem? at the moment i have the same problem. i have deinstalled and reinstalled step5 v7.23, USB-prommer software V1.1 but i can't get an connection to the USB-prommer via S5-eprom. can anyone tell me what i do/did wrong? regards

hATZEnbrECHT Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi SHanley, the telephone-support told me, that it is not possible to program "Eprom 6ES5376-1AA31" with Field PG M3 and Step5 v7.23. Developers forgot to test all Eproms from that version. So maybe the Eprom you are using is in that blacklist, too. Only thing you can do is to use an extern prommer or to use another eprom-module. Hope it can help.....
