Hello experts,

I have a MTP1500 that I have been unable to connect to from both V17 and V18. I can go online in TIA, I can set IP, but unable to actually download anything.

Tried to enable maintenance mode, but it looks like it is stuck. Progress bar shows 0%. Restarting HMI does not change anything.

I received the following from Siemens support, and that did the trick:

-Press the small white button between the two network interfaces -Unplug the power supply -Plug the power supply back in after 5 to 10 seconds

IMPORTANT!!!

-The white button must remain permanently pressed (If it is released during the reset process, the panel must be sent to a repair center)

-The white button can be released as soon as the message "Waiting for connection" is displayed on the panel screen -The image update can then be carried out with PROSAVE -Use ProSave. Connect directly from the PC via an Ethernet cable to the X2 interface of the panel (without an intermediate network) -Use the IP address 192.168.1.2 in ProSave (subnet mask: 255.255.255.0) -Make sure that the interface used on your PC is also in the same IP address range and in the same subnet (e.g.: IP 192.168.1.3) -Set the PG/PC interface in the Control Panel to the hardware interface you are using -Set the "Reset to factory settings" checkbox in ProSave -Enter the MAC address of your panel's X2 interface in the fields that appear below -First click on "Device status" to check whether the image is installable -If it is not, check all interfaces and settings again -Click on "Update OS" -> The image update should now have started
