Since I have not used AuditTrail, I do not know the exact behavior, but I know from tag logging that the values are always written to the database in Float64 format. So I think this might be a missing feature. To clarify this, I would recommend you to create a support request.

I figured it had to be something like that because there is almost zero configuration for audittrail. I will wait for answer from Siemens, because the problem is client requested "audit... in readable format..." at least when reported the value looks ok in pdf/excel.

Edit: Got an answer from local Siemens support, yes it is indeed a "bug", they forwarded it. Current workaround is to use LReal instead.
